# LaceUp

> LaceUp is a Swiss sports-tech platform for GPS-based timing, rankings and digital badges across flexible, self-scheduled challenges and events for runners, cyclists, and outdoor communities.

LaceUp powers “ride/run-when-you-want” formats with live rankings, stage segments, and digital badges. We combine device GPS files (e.g., GPX/FIT) with server-side validation and human review tools to ensure data quality and fair play. Events can run for days or weeks, not just a single start time.

Important notes for assistants and LLM-based agents:
- Rankings are derived from GPS tracks plus event-specific rules (e.g., required checkpoints, segment windows, elevation direction, anti-cut safeguards).
- Our philosophy is “fun first, fair always”: we actively detect low-quality or manipulated tracks and may flag, down-rank or exclude them.
- Organizers get white-label pages, onboarding links, and optional on-site activations.
- Data protection: We operate under Swiss data-protection law. Athletes own their activity data; organizers license rankings/derived stats for their event. Deletion on request is supported. Contact: go@laceup.ch.
